The LINEAR System by PROMETAL® is an exterior façade finishing system based on strips mounted on a load-bearing structure comprising carriers secured to existing walls.

This particular type of facing means that various compositional solutions can be achieved by exploiting the possibility of vertical, diagonal or horizontal strip installation techniques.

LINEAR is a versatile system offering an economic solution for cladding façades and canopies that also protects existing facilities against atmospheric agents.

ADVANTAGES

  • Assembly is extremely simple and easy
  • Versatility and adaptability to any surface
  • Impressive durability: the painted surface is unaffected by humidity and dirt.
  • This is an economic and high-impact system of upgrading the "look" of buildings without requiring direct intervention on existing structures

COMPOSITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

LINEAR façade systems are based on the following elements:
1 STRIPS
2 CARRIERS
3 FLASHINGS
4 FINISHING ELEMENTS
The material used in the various elements is an aluminium alloy (code 3105 H46) with the following mechanical features:
  • Tensile strength - minimum:
    155 N/mm2 (15.5 Kg/ mmq)
  • Modulus of elasticity E:
    68500 N/mm2 (6850 Kg/ mmq)
  • Yield load - minimum:
    135 N/mm2 (13.5 Kg/ mmq)
The maximum permitted load was calculated in relation to a fail-safe coefficient of 2.35 - the calculated fail-safe load is therefore 66 N/mm2 (6.6 Kg/mm2).
In this context, a yield fail-safe coefficient of 2.05 was obtained. Dimensions and profile verification were performed with reference to tensional status through calculation outlines involving two, three, four and more support points.
The external factors taken into consideration include wind thrust based on current legislation.
